Okay this is my before bedtime story.
Once upon a time- a girl, we will call her Susan, lived in a home that had a Septic Tank system.
Susan and her husband did not have much money to begin with this fine early summer day (although you could not tell it was summer because it had not stopped raining for any more than 2 days in a row).
Anywho- Susan was upstairs cleaning the stove when her daughter heard an odd noise. Susan thought Ava was just not used to the sound of hearing mother clean. However after a little while Susan went down stairs and heard the awful noise herself.
Susan searched for the noise, at first she was thinking it was the washing machine. No that was not it. So then Susan opened the garage door and realized it was the Septic Tank Pump Alarm.
"Oh Great" Susan exclaimed as she hurried back into the house to call the septic tank company.
Susan spent the day calling to check on rates. First the septic system had to be pumped. It was supposed to be pumped every 3-5 years and Susan had lived in the home since 2001- and had never had it pumped. She found out later that it had not been pumped since 1999.
On Saturday the Septic pumper company came and pumped out all the forgive my french "shit" that had been going down into the system for the past 9 years. When he finished that he came to the conclusion that our pump had stopped working. I.E.- The loud annoying alarm in the garage.
So..... we were told a pump repair specialist would have to come out and evaluate.
So, we paid the nice pump guy $500.00 and he took off with our poop.
On Tuesday the pump guy came. Diddled around a bit with the pump. Was able to get it working. Told me that Eventually we would need a new one as ours was at least 10 years. But, this one could last 2 years or 2 months. He collected his $270.00 evaluation fee and was on his merry way.
And THAT is how we Literally Flushed $770.00 Dollars down the drain.
The End!
